I am not sure if you girls have noticed but there seems to be some kind of cold air between preity and madhuri. they are never seen together or sharing any warmth together.
Mumbai, (IANS) Legendary actress Waheeda Rehman says Madhuri Dixit is the only actress who can do justice to her role in Dev Anand's all time classic “Guide”, if it is remade today. "The role requires an actress who should be a good dancer. Madhuri is both a good actress and a dancer," she said in Mumbai Tuesday at a function organised by Enlighten Film Society to felicitate her for her contributions to movies. She recalled how Hiralal, who choreographed the dance sequences of "Guide", worked hard on her and how she tried her best to come up to his expectations. The film was released in 1965. "Shooting for 'Guide' was one of my best experiences because the movie itself was close to reality," she remarked. The veteran actress also said that her role in "Guide" was completely different from what she played in "Mujhe Jeene Do" (1963) and "Kohra" (1964), which were released before that. In "Guide", she played a woman who leaves her oppressive husband and finds freedom in the company of a guide who helps her fulfil her artistic ambitions. The veteran actress, who was seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's hit film "Rang De Basanti", was presented the Taj Enlighten Tareef Award by the tea brand Brooke Bond Taj Mahal. The brand has associated with Enlighten Film Society and multiplex chain Cinemax to provide a platform to showcase the best of the world cinema in India. The screening of "Guide" followed the felicitation function held at the Cinemax theatre.

Salman, Madhuri, Shahid, Amrita in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun 2 Successful filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has been rumoured to be writing a script that will be a sequel to the 90s hit film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. According to our sources, the sequel will pick up the story 15 years after Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) got married. The pair have two young kids of their own and are living a happy family life. However, problems arise when a runaway bride (Amrita Rao) seeks shelter in their house. Things get even worse when she falls in love with their clean-freak neighbor (Shahid Kapur). The story has a further twist when the bride’s would be groom (John Abraham) turns up and woos her back. Before putting pen to paper, Sooraj made sure that the stars of the film were onboard and got them to agree to star… once the script was completed. Salman Khan has already set aside dates in 2009 for the film so that they match up for the time when Madhuri Dixit’s children are on school vacation. Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapur are more than happy to be working with Sooraj after the super hit film Vivaah. Amrita says, “It will be fantastic to work with Soorajji as he is family. He sent me a sweet SMS just a few days back when he was reminded about my character Poonam (in Vivaah) while watching the rushes of their latest production, Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi.” Sooraj has refused to talk about the project, saying, “It’s not true. Thank you.” Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the biggest grossers ever in the history of Hindi cinema. Made on a budget of around Rs.60 million, it went on to collect over Rs.650 million in India and over Rs.150 million overseas.
A source from the organizers Wizcraft revealed, “During the first segment Aishwarya and Madhuri will share the stage by performing on their famous song from Devdas – dola re. I am sure they will do a great job and it will be a treat for the fans.” Giving more details about the tour, he said, The first segment will start in July and go on till August. The troupe will go to Canada, USA and Europe. It will have Amitabh, Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan giving live performances but we haven’t decided on which dance numbers they will perform. The second phase will most probably start in November-December. Ritesh Deshmukh and Bipasha Basu have confirmed their participation.” On the other big names in the fray, he revealed, “We are trying for Akshay Kumar who has been churning out one hit after the other. Ranbir Kapoor said no because of personal reasons and while Kareena is ready, Shahid and Saif have not yet been confirmed.” The source also denied that Salman is part of the tour. The concert is being choreographed by Shiamak Davar and composed by Vishal-Shekhar. This will be Amitabh Bachchan’s first world tour in 25 years. Meanwhile SRK has called off his world tour following his hectic schedule.

Kareena Kapoor’s present beau Saif Ali Khan and former flame Shahid Kapoor will be together in The Unforgettables tour of the Bachchans (Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya). The series of concerts by Wizcraft will unfold in July-August across US and Europe. After Akshay Kumar, who earlier opted out, rejoined the tour the Bachchans roped in the two stars to join in. Says a source close to the Bachchans, “Saif and Shahid showed no hesitation in joining the Bachchans on tour. The price being offered was fine and the dates for the venues where they’ll perform were worked out to their convenience. The Kareena Kapoor angle was not part of the discussions.” The tour has been undergoing one change after another. Earlier, it was scheduled for 2007. “Abhishek and Aishwarya were busy with their marriage and their careers. We had to take it to 2008,” explains the Big B. While every show will be different, the Bachchans will be a constant at every concert performing to their own numbers as well the specially-composed songs by Vishal-Shekhar. But the one item that is inescapable is Kajra Re.”Do you think we can get away from that one?” laughs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Riteish Deshmukh and Bipasha Basu are also part of the tour announced during the IIFA awards in Yorkshire last year. It is reliably learnt that Madhuri Dixit will also be part of The Unforgettables stage shows. Says a source close to the Bachchans, “For Madhuri, it’d be the easiest thing in the world for her to join the concerts in the US as she is based there.”
Madhuri Dixit was the chief guest at the inauguration of an Art showing by Purnendu Mandal at Nehru Center in Mumbai. Dressed in e beige colored sari, she looks gorgeous. But i think her blouse is kind of not iftting her well. Anyways, she looks gorgeous as usual with her 100 watt smile.
Madhuri Dixit received the Padmashree in 2008 and Aishwarya rai in 2009. Well, i dont know why, but both ladies were dressed very loud for this ceremony. Not to forget the garish makeup. But i am glad they wore a saree and not a gown. Who was worst dressed ? i really cant choose:)
Madhuri the ultimate DIVA...most beautiful smile...Aishwarya Miss World...most beautiful eyes...who is Looking best??
