In a poll conducted by international magazine Verve, Kareena Kapoor bagged the highest number of votes for the most powerful celebrity. The actress finds a place of pride on the cover of the magazine's latest edition. The power list accentuates the fact that Kareena is definitely going places. Besides films back home, Hollywood too has shown some keen interest in the actress. Sylvester Stallone has been mesmerized by the ethereal beauty on the sets of Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambaqt Ishq. Bebo has captured the collective imagination and established herself as the biggest brand amongst female actors. Her success and awards for her performance in Jab We Met has made her the hottest property amongst the big banners and the biggest of stars. Besides, the Czarina of Bollywood is also termed as the 'Queen of Endorsement'. Top companies and product manufacturers want Kareena to be the brand ambassador and her name is taken in the same breath as top international models.

"I've five film in various stages of production. Then I've nine endorsements for which I've to shoot ads round the year. Plus I've all these stage shows that require rehearsals. I can't seem to find the time to do anything properly," she laments from Melbourne where she's shooting for Salman Khan's Main Aur Mrs Khanna. She has in fact agreed to perform at IIFA in June and is rehearsing as she has never done. "I'm performing a medley of my songs from Jab We Met and Tashan. Gone are the days when I'd go on stage with just a little practice. Now I want to be my best in every stage performance." But where's the time! "Here, at Melbourne I'm rehearsing for IIFA at nights and shooting in the day time. Am I over-worked? I'm exhausted. But what choice do I have? I've decided to take my live performances as seriously as my movies and endorsement,"she says. She's currently Melbourne and will next move to Los Angeles for a long 40-day spell of shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambhakt Ishq "I'll be away from home for more than three months at a stretch. I miss home. I miss my family. I've never been so much out of Mumbai. I'll finish shooting here, then head to perform at the IIFA. In fact I'm working so hard I hardly get sleep. I'm shooting in the day time and I'm rehearsing during the night.I feel like a I haven't slept for ages." She'll join Saif in London for a week in London from June 20. Saif will be shooting in the city for his first home production to be directed by Imtiaz Ali. Yup, the same film that Deepika Padukone is doing instead of Kareena. And Deepika is seeing Kareena's star-cousin Ranbir. "I'm so happy for them. I hope they'll be happy together. It feels so nice to have another Kapoor from my generation doing so well. He was fantastic in Saawariya. He's here's to stay. I feel a sense of pride and belonging for him.The Kapoors and Khans are rocking the industry." No hard feelings about not being in Saif's first home production? "None at all," Bebo laughs. "I joked at the Stardust awards about not being in Saif's first production and everyone took it seriously. Honestly I enjoy meeting him outside Mumbai. At least we can have some privacy. At home me and Saif can't even go out for dinner without people staring at us, constantly judging our behaviour..."

Kareena Kapoor, the beautiful lass of bollywood who played a super model in just released mega budget flick Kambakkht Ishq opposite Akshay Kumar, has blasted producer Pritish Nandy for terming her work in the film as ‘joke’. The sexy bombshell of bollywood went on to slam Pritish Nandy by saying that he seems to have too much time to comment on blogs and through other medium about others, rather than concentrating on his own work. The furious bollywood babe even advised the veteran producer to be more focused on his production activities and not interfere in other people’s lives. Kareena Kapoor gave her own example of being focused on her work so much so that she did not have time to even check her e-mails, leave alone blogging like Pritish Nandy. Kareena Kapoor slamming of Pritish Nandy came after the producer had commented on his twitter account that Bebo looked a ‘joke’ in Sajid Nadiadwala’s big budget movie ‘Kambakht Ishq’, and if anyone wanted to see her in a stunningly beautiful avatar, he should watch her in ‘Chameli’. It may be recalled that Kareena Kapoor had played the part of a prostitute in ‘Chameli’, which was produced by Pritish Nandy in 2003 through his production company Pritish Nandy Communications. The arty flick had been directed by Sudhir Mishra, while Rahul Bose played the lead character in the film. Kareena had also received critical acclaim for her role. But that was then. Kareena Kapoor has moved on in her bollywood career and does not hesitate in slamming the veteran producer, if he says anything against her. So what if Pritish Nandy gave her a path- breaking role in his film so early in her career. Sources say that Kareena Kapoor is pained at the attitude of knowledgeable people like Pritish Nandy, who fail to realize that even if it was a fun role in ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ for her, Kareena had to work very hard to enact it on the celluloid. There was no less effort from the actress than she had done for ‘Chameli’. The grapevine also has it that Kareena Kapoor feels that she and her film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ was being unfairly targeted by some groups in bollywood, who wanted the film to bomb at the box office. It was clear when they attacked the film even without waiting for the audience reaction to come out after the weekend, and this explains Kareena Kapoor’s belligerence towards defending herself and ‘Kambakkht Ishq’. However, fortunately for Kareena Kapoor and ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, the latest figures released by Eros show that the film grossed above Rs 100 crore in the first week itself. Of these, Rs 70 crore has come from the domestic circuit and Rs 21 crore from overseas. Rs 10 crore came from music and digital rights. Considering the fact that the cost of this Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer was around Rs 62 crores, it has already covered its price and earned profit for its producers. Even, Akshay Kumar should be heaving a sigh of relief after his two flops—‘Chandni Chowk To China’, and ‘Tasveer’ at the box office. Though Kareena may somehow feel relieved after ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ has been declared a hit, she is in no mood to tie the knot yet.
